Offline GPS Location Saver
Save and find locations without internet
What GPS app works without internet connection?
Hollow Map can save GPS places without mobile data. GPS does not require internet, although opening turn-by-turn navigation depends on your phone and map app.
How Offline GPS Works
GPS satellites broadcast signals that your phone receives directly. This means GPS works independently of internet connectivity. Hollow Map uses that signal to save latitude and longitude without requiring data or WiFi.
Underground Garages
Save your parking spot even when cell service is unavailable in underground structures.
Remote Hiking
Mark waypoints on trails far from cell towers without worrying about connectivity.
International Travel
Save locations abroad without expensive roaming charges or local SIM cards.
Data Conservation
Preserve your mobile data plan for essential uses instead of location apps.

When You Need Offline GPS
- Airport parking lots - Multi-level garages with poor cell reception
- Music festivals - Crowded areas where networks are overloaded
- National parks - Remote wilderness areas without cellular coverage
- Foreign countries - Traveling without international data plans
- Shopping malls - Large indoor structures with weak signals
Technical Note
GPS requires a clear view of the sky to receive satellite signals. Hollow Map works best outdoors or near windows. In deep underground locations, save your location before entering.
Offline GPS Questions
What GPS app works without internet connection?
Hollow Map can save GPS places without mobile data. GPS does not require internet, although opening turn-by-turn navigation depends on your phone and map app.
Does GPS work without mobile data?
Yes. GPS receives satellite signals directly on your phone. Mobile data is useful for map tiles, traffic, and online search, but it is not required to read latitude and longitude.
Can I save a parking spot in an underground garage?
GPS is weaker underground. For deep garages, save the entrance, level, row, or a photo before going inside. Hollow Map can still store notes and photos that help you return.
Can I navigate offline with Hollow Map?
Hollow Map stores the saved place. Route guidance is handed to the map app on your phone, so offline navigation depends on whether that app has offline maps available.
